The SVC that is shipped with SAS 9.4 TS1M0 returns to the calling program without freeing the Remote Access Control Facility (RACF) profile in subpool 231 key 0 storage. This causes orphaned non-extended CSA storage.

To avoid this situation, install an updated SAS 9.4 TS1M0 SVC or the SVC from SAS 9.4 TS1M1 or later. To download the latest version of the SAS SVC, do the following:

1. Click here to download the replacement SAS 9.4 TS1M0 SAS SVC for z/OS.
2. Follow the instructions in SAS Note 2995: "Instructions for downloading replacement OS/390 modules stored in XMIT format" to create a PDS that contains the new SVC load module.
3. You must copy this module to the location and name that you chose for the SAS SVC when you installed SAS.
